Docler Holding is pleased to announce the second edition of its Pitch your Start-up (pitchyourstartup.eu) event in collaboration with Luxinnovation, the National Agency for Innovation and Research and its ICT Cluster. This pitching session will take place on May 10th, during ICTSpring Europe 2016, Luxembourg’s major tech conference.
As last year, each start-up will be granted 3 minutes and 33 seconds to present its project, followed by 2 minutes of questions and answers. The startup with the best pitch and, as such, the winner of the contest, will receive a 50.000€ prize, totally financed by Docler Holding. The event will also be open to external investors and anyone interested in the ICT and start-up scenes.
“This year our goal is to attract national and international ICT start-ups. We have already been touring the various tech and start-up conferences such as Web Summit and Slush in order to select potential candidates and bring them to Luxembourg. There is an amazing number of skilled people with great ideas out there and we want to bring them together”, explains Marton Fulop, COO of Docler Holding.
Wondermags was the winner of the first pitching contest organized in March 2015. The company provides a self-publishing platform for the free creation, distribution and monetisation of eMagazines for tablets. They presented their company to a jury composed of Docler Holding’s management and advisory committee.
“Our aim is to support the Luxembourg ICT ecosystem and start-up scene by bringing more international talents to the Grand-Duchy. This is our way to contribute to the government’s efforts to position Luxembourg as the ideal environment for establishing ICT start-ups”, says Karoly Papp, Co-Founder & CEO of Docler Holding.
“Luxinnovation has become the obvious partner for anybody with plans for a start-up who is looking to receive sound, expert and tailored advice. For young and promising ICT start- ups in particular we have developed Fit4Start, a new programme which can help to bridge the early stage funding gap”, concludes Jean-Paul Schuler, CEO of Luxinnovation.
